CLIMBING FOR A REASON
Similar name, similar mission.
Climbing for a Reason is a non-profit project founded 8 years ago by the professional climbers Lucho Birkner and Mateo Barrenengoa.
They see climbing as a powerful tool that can help people from poor communities emancipate themselves, both socially and economically.
To achieve this, every year they travel around the world and start a different project.
They carry out the construction of an artificial wall in a school or a public place, help the local communities in the development of a climbing area and donate all the necessary equipment so they can keep climbing.
They want that the local communities become climbers of their own rocks.
The development of a climbing area pursues also the goal of giving the communities a means to sustain themselves and thrive.
Their mission and their passion resonate with ours and we couldn't be happier to partner with them and help fund their present and future projects!
MIRACLE FEET
We came across this organisation through our ambassador Petra Klingler, and we had never heard of “Clubfoot” before. And probably you haven’t either... till now.
Miracle Feet is a global organization dedicated to providing treatment to children born with clubfoot in low- and middle-income countries.
Clubfoot is a birth defect that causes one or both feet to turn inward and down. If not treated, it will disable the affected person for life.
It is one of the most common birth defects and a major cause of physical disability globally.
9.75 million people alive today were born with clubfoot.
As many as 8 million never received treatment.
Founded in 2010 by parents of children born with clubfoot, MiracleFeet has helped change the lives of over 100,000 children in 37 countries.
Guess what? Petra was born with it.
She recognized her fortune in being born in the right part of the world where she had access to treatment. So she decided to help those who aren't as fortunate.
And she convinced us to do the same. So we are happy to send part of our donations to this organisation :)
KISS AGAINST CANCER
Is an Italian nonprofit founded by oncologists.
They aim to inform people and support initiatives for raising consciousness on the strongest weapons we have against cancer: a proper lifestyle and protection of the environment.
They want to do it always with a scientific approach, but smiling and combining passion, art, and science.
We are very happy to be partnering with KISS and send them part of the donations to help them in their mission :)
